2026 has started. We are already eleven days into the year. If you intend to make the 365 days contained therein to count, this is a friendly reminder that you’re now down to 354 days. The plan is to make this your best year yet, right? Dream and set goals!
The Psalmist told us to delight ourselves in the Lord, and He will give us the desires of our hearts; yes, God is more than capable of doing this. But, firstly, our hearts must have desires; we must have dreams for 2026. It is our dreams for the year that will guide our exercise of faith, how we approach God, and how we set priorities. Additionally, because we have dreams, we can set goals. It is only an individual who aspires towards something that lays out modalities on how to achieve his/her aspirations. It all starts with a dream. When our hearts are consumed by our dreams, our prayers become unequivocal, our trust in God is heightened, we lay down steps to take, and our focus becomes sharpened.
Psalms 37:4
Dream and set goals, that’s the admonition. You must want something out of your year, something you want God to intervene in. Don’t be deterred by past failures or the devil. Dream, set goals, and defer to God; your desires will be yours.
